In our Level 2 workshop, we show people how to make a committed decision to live their true purpose — turn the dream into a reality.
But that decision will often activate a person's fear program, which freaks out about the commitment. It doesn't want them living their true purpose — because it fears most of it. So it will do its best to talk them out of it with dread, anxiety, hesitation, doubt, or panic.
This usually happens in the first 48 hours after making a decision, and before any action is taken. That's the danger zone. If you don't take action within 48 hours of making a major decision, your fear program will most likely shut that decision down, so you never follow through and live it.
The good news: the action you need to overcome fear doesn't need to be huge. In fact, it's usually only a small step. However, it's a good idea to make that step concrete enough to cement the decision. You book the course, make the call, block the time, do the thing — whatever it takes to make your decision final, so fear can’t talk you out of it. Although, don't quit ya job!
That gets you past the indecision stage, and gets you started. But even then, fear will still try and talk you out of it. That's why you keep moving, because progress itself is a natural indecision killer, especially if you're doing what you love to do.
So take action within 48 hours of a major decision, and then keep on going — because the longer you put it off, the more chance fear has of putting it off forever.
The biggest problem you don't even know you have — and how it stops you finding and living your true purpose in life.
