I often point out the ridiculousness of fear in our workshops, but I never undermine its effect on people. Fear is very real, and affects everyone — you, me, friends, family, colleagues, etc. It’s everyone’s biggest problem they don’t even know they have, which you can read more about in our free eBook.
But your fear program was developed in childhood, to keep you safe as a child, and it’s still trying to keep you safe as a child, because it still thinks you're that same child. That’s why they're irrational fears — such as the fear of adventure, the fear of change, the fear of criticism, the fear of rejection, and so on.
In other words, those fears are trying to keep you ‘safe’, in case you’re ever 0-7 years old again. As ridiculous as that sounds, its those fears that cause anxiety, procrastination, self doubt, unhappiness, resentment, confusion, worry, stress, and so much more. That’s everyone, because everyone has a fear program. Yet, it’s such a deeply embedded subconscious habit, most people don’t even see it happening. They just feel bad and don’t know why.
But when you expose the ridiculousness of fear to people — especially it’s myriad of effects — people recognise it in themselves, and think, “OMG. I’ve doing that for years! I had no idea it was fear!”. And when it’s exposed like that, it can no longer run as a hidden subconscious habit. It loses its power over you, and that’s 50% of the problem solved.
The other 50% is solved by using your purpose to permanently live those fears out of existence — in the most fun way possible, because your purpose is doing what you love to do, and no one wants to fail doing what they love.
That’s why we created our Level 2 workshop. It has a set of simple steps to help people recognise and overcome the deep subconscious fears that normally wreck a purpose — in the order they usually show up as a person lives that purpose. And because their purpose is so exciting and fun, people are generally more self-motivated to face those fears and overcome them. They have to, to get their purpose done and be successful.
And when they do, they quite literally prove their fears wrong — permanently dissolving them layer by layer, making them progressively more fear-less (as in less fear), as they go along.
Eventually — when enough success is created in their purpose — they realise the fears that were previously holding them back from living their true purpose all this time, were bullshit all along.
Powerful bullshit, but bullshit none-the-less.
The biggest problem you don't even know you have — and how it stops you finding and living your true purpose in life.
