You Don’t Need to Know How

In our Level 2 workshop, we show people how to live their dreams — turn their passion into a business or career, so they make a living out of what they love to do.

And one of the things that stops many people from living their dreams is worrying about “The How” — “How will I do this?”, “How will I pay for it?”, “How will I find the time?”, “How will I make money out of this?”, “How will I cope if I fail?”

That’s the fear program’s old habit of needing to know how it can do everything before it decides it's 'safe' to get started and take action. It's not trying to 'get all its ducks in a row', it's trying to perfectly 'line up every single bird on the planet'. That's impossible.

This is one of the ways fear stalls you. It’s absolutely impossible to know how you're going to do everything before you get started. It’s impossible to know that even after you start moving. Heck, you still won't know how to do that after you’ve lived your entire purpose!

In fact — and this may shock you — you don’t need to know how you’re going to achieve any part of your purpose, before you begin, and as you go along. Yes! Really!

You can’t, and you don’t need to. You make the decisions, learn the skills, express yourself, and deepen your understanding as you go along. You know as you go. And finding out is what builds courage, promotes skill, feeds passion, grows individuality, inspires creativity, and expands expertise.

You can’t do ANY of that now, so you don’t need to know HOW to do any of that now. You can only do what you can do, in this very moment, and then the next moment, and the next moment, and so on. If you wait to know how to do it all before you start — you’ll be dead!

In fact, it’s better if you don’t know. That’s what makes living a new purpose in life so exciting. It's a journey of discovery and surprise, so let it surprise you. Let your capabilities surprise you. Let the outcome surprise you. Let even your plans surprise you.

Just get started. You'll figure out the rest later on. You always have. You always will. The next logical steps, solutions to problems, support and resources have a funny way of showing up on your path, as you go along.

But do Level 2 to make it easier, and do Level 1 if you don’t know your purpose.
