What if you did our Level 1 workshop, and either yourself or Bodhi found your true purpose in life — but your deeply subconscious fear-program somehow got the better of you. You keep doubting your purpose, changing your mind, putting it off — to the point that you never end up living it? What happens then?
Well, this is the beauty of this process. You’ve already done a purpose-process that has investigated a bunch of purposes. There is a fair to reasonable chance that at least one of them is your actual true purpose. And if it is, it will ‘get on you, and in you, and bug you!’.
If it’s your true purpose, you won't be able to stop thinking about it. It will excite you, tantalise you, draw you in — whether you chose it or not. And it will continue to bug you, until it eventually makes the rest of your life seem less exciting, less interesting, or even less important. That conflict will create a subtle yet constant nagging dissatisfaction with your current life choices. It will bug you.
That's your positive-mind 'pushing you' towards what it knows is your true purpose. And your mind is a very powerful force. It knows EXACTLY what your truest purpose is, and will happily guide you towards it — but only when you're in a good mood.
When you’re in a good mood, your positive mind will guide you. When you’re in a bad mood, your fear program will mislead you.
That's why positive thought, presence of mind, relaxation, etc are so important — because they put you in a good mood. But you don't even need to do that! Being in a good mood can often just mean sitting on the toilet, or having a hot shower, or driving your car (peacefully), or laying on the beach, etc. They'll put you in a good mood because you haven't got much to think about. And considering the average person has between 2000 and 10,000 random, redundant negative thoughts a day — conscious or subconscious — if you're not thinking about much, there is less negative thought, which means less negative emotion.
And when your mind is relaxed, and you're not thinking about too much, there is space for your deep intuitive positive mind to 'get a word in'. It will use the 'gaps in thought' to pop great ideas into your head. And you'll know, because you didn't think them. There was no conscious effort on your behalf. It just arrived in the back of your mind — a solution, a way where there was no way, a plan, a new business idea, etc. That's often your positive mind 'pushing your purpose'.
If it’s your true purpose, your mind will happily pester you with that idea. It will keep popping up in your mind. You'll think about it, ponder it, imagine it. It will slowly shift from a possibility to a desirability to an inevitability. It will wear you down so much, you'll eventually decide to do something about it. You'll wake up one day and think, "I'm doing this! That's it! Period!". That decision will kinda 'force' you back to living your true purpose.
If you ever get to that point, jump into Level 2 as fast as you can. 48 hours or less, is all it takes for your fear-program to shut down new decisions like that. It doesn’t want you living your true purpose, because a true purpose resolves fear. Your fear-program will fight for it’s own survival, by finding a hundred reasons why you shouldn't do it. Then, your positive mind will happily try and bring you back to the idea, so you still do it. This battle between the positive-mind and negative-fear, accounts for the indecision of the busy mind — the classic “Yes. No!”, “Maybe? Maybe not!”, “Yeah. Naah”. And of course the Aussie classic, "Yeah, Naaaaa .... fuck that!". Level 2 gets you through all of that.
In short, you can’t escape your true purpose — if you ignore it, your positive mind will keep nagging you until you act on it. If your positive mind stays ‘silent’ about it, then it probably wasn’t your truest purpose.
